The Alliance

It would make sense that the only one in our house to make Piper laugh would be Foxy. Its as if Piper knows that Foxy isn't my favorite person . . . so she formed an alliance.

On this particular day, piper had some pretty short naps was over-tired. And slap happy (or "rummy" as Angie would call it). So when Foxy was tossing her toy around, Piper found it quite funny.

And no matter what I do, she has never laughed like this again.

It's like she reserves her joy for Foxy. So I guess we'll keep the dog.

Christmas 2013

Piper's first Christmas was spent in Utah. We enjoyed lots family and friends and activities and Piper was so good to let us drag her around, skipping naps and delaying bedtime.

Before we left for Utah, we met up with Emily and the tripplets at Bass Pro Shops for pictures with Santa. Piper was quite enamored with Santa's beard and twirled her fingers in it during her picture shoot.

I was hoping to have a wonderful time decorating the Christmas tree together. It didn't happen. I got four ornaments on the tree before a meltdown.

 She make look serene, she was actually throwing a fit (as seen in the picture below). Maybe next year.

Don't tell Piper, but we didn't buy her actual gifts. We figured she can wait until she can actually open gifts. We got her important things like Christmas pajamas for pictures.

We also attempted to ring in the new year with festive glasses. Piper was not a fan.

Our festive group was able to stay up until midnight, which was quite a task. We ate cheese and chocolate fondue and played games. Then we called it quits at 12:15. Quite a rambunctious group.
